Have an ‘as new’ vehicle minus the cost, but still with the same warranty.

Commissioned by our customer to provide a heavy duty Tow Tractor with a 10 ton towing capacity to compliment their existing fleet, “with a far more realistic price tag” than the £23k plus quoted to them for a new vehicle. We located this working, but sadly neglected Lansing Toer 8.

The vehicle pictured here in its finished state, was fully dismantled and remanufactured to ‘as new’ condition. The re building process included a new Traction Battery and fully speed managed Mosfet Traction Controller complete with regenerative and overrun downhill braking. With built in safety features, visual and audible travel warning devices, fully compliant with Health & Safety and EC requirements, the vehicle also benefited from having a 12 month full parts and labour guarantee.

Asked for assistance by our customer, a leading aerospace component manufacturer, in converting an external site delivery vehicle for duties totally with in works buildings.

With the vehicle to be used in areas where pedestrian movement was almost constant and with collision avoidance of both personnel and buildings being paramount, improvement of the drivers view was required.

The cab was removed to give better all round vision. At the same time, our customer decided to have the vehicle refurbished to a “good standard”. The result was to quote them “outstanding”. The vehicle supplied new by ourselves originally has been given a new lease of life.

A leading power supply company contacted us regarding a Ross Beaver Platform Truck being used more often for external operations, the vehicle had no weather protection. Another problem was the method of loading, individual items had to be palletized and then fork lift loaded, thus tying up an extra body and machine.

The vehicle was fully dismantled and re-manufactured with a full weather proof cab manufactured and fitted. The provision of a manually operated Hydraulic Crane overcame the loading problem. The re-manufacturing process included a new Traction Battery, new Traction Controller and built in fully compliant safety features.
